Basketball starts over the weekend for 3-6 Numbers are consistent with past years, participating in quad valley league.

Card keys are in the works.  Scott is working on getting more Old cards are cancelled, 10 more are coming Sherb is busy with hs play until 11/20

Ski day will be Friday of winter break. 2/25 Not a "vacation week" so we will get an extra special rate.  Scott will publicize the event for people to sign up.
Rate is discounted around 15-20 per ticket Looking for someone to coordinate day.  Amy H will do this

Christmas in the harbor 12/4 will by organized lake sunapee chamber of commerce Rec would like more events than just the looney lunge. Would like to
promote the skating rink.   Spba contributed $1000 for the liner, full
cost will be closer to $2000 with shipping.

Warrant article
Last year we lost by one vote, feel with Selectboard recommendation we ought to do better.
Our warrant will be $35k, slightly different wording.  Paul will work with Donna N on the wording before the Selectboard has not had final budget hearing yet, we will be done before that.

Turkey trot has 400 registrants and still looking for volunteers.
Looking for 700-800 total runners/walkers Past experience has shown the need to have a strict cut off time for the registrations.  It has been a problem with people coming in at the last minute.  Scott will bring this back to the TT race committee.

Scott presented options for a swing set for Dewey Field.  Committee decided to spend $1895 for a swing set at Dewey Field.  This is reflected from the previous meeting decision.


Jon Reed to follow up with Tom Frederick and Bonnie Cruz for #'s on field usage.  Jon will put together a presentation to be used for the Sunapee Seniors, selectboard, and deliberative session to educated people on the amount of field usage.

Discussion around the working of dewey beach.  Management of beach was well done.  Brian brought up concern about amount of guest pass use, what can be done amount limiting it. Nothing resolved

New dog ordinance in effect in town now.  This affects recreation resources including Nona Playground, Dewey Beach, etc.

Priority list:
 Scott put together a list of items from committee members wish list.
Scott will ask Mark Usko for a quote to resurface veterans field.  Some other items can be done from maintenance

Leon volunteered to build some benches for Nona playground.  Scott will check with Donna on whether this would be ok.
Leon to provide a design to the rec committee for approval

Paul, Amy, Leon, and Scott met with Billie Barry of the Lions Club asking what our needs are.  Sledding hill, fields, indoor space.  Lions club is moving ahead with building indoor space.

Meeting space at safety services needs to be explored.  Can we utilize this public space?

Can we change soccer leagues and play more local teams?  Scott has contact info for area towns and the league.  Www.Mvsl.org  He will forward to Patricia to explore opportunities.  Eliminate loudon, bow, boscawen, concord.

Need to do an evaluation of Scott.  Committee members will review and come prepared to complete.  On town website under dept and personnel
